In recent years, Mongolia has had an impressive GDP growth rate. According to the CIA World Factbook, Mongolia’s GDP grew at 9% in 2008. It was the 18^th highest in the world and one of the largest in all of Asia. Many expect this growth rate to continue now that the financial crisis is passing and foreign direct investment is increasing. Business Monitor International is forecasting double digit GDP growth for many years following 2010.
