Located on the main route from Ulaanbaatar to the Gobi, Mandalgovi is a high traffic center of activity and the capital of Dundgovi province with a population of 13,000.  The natural beauty of the area and surrounding attractions also bring large numbers of tourists, especially during the summer months.
